JCI Malaysia is providing the ‘Membership Management System’ to all the Local Organization for complimentary in Malaysia. The member’s identity is required for LO Admin to verify the genuineness of the member. Under JCI Malaysia’s Constitution & By-laws 2 – 4, only individuals who are between 18 – 40 years old are eligible to join as a JCI Member.

All the member’s IC uploads will be stored at JCI Malaysia’s cloud server with AWS (Amazon Web Services) under Cloudways managed services. It has Server Level Firewall, Database Security, Application Isolation, SSL Certificates, End-to-End encryption to ensure the safety of all our datas.

Nevertheless, we care about the data security of our members. While we work to protect the security of your account and related information, JCI Malaysia is unable to guarantee that any unauthorized third parties (if any) will be able to compromise towards our security measures.

Only the LO Admin account (The Local Secretary & Local President) & the Super Admin account (The system provider) will have the ability to read the member’s IC number & IC upload. Beside these two roles, there will be no one that has the ability to read your identity information.

No. With the ‘Privacy Policy’ stated on JCI Malaysia website (https://jcimalaysia.cc/privacy-policy/), JCI Malaysia shall only collects the personal information for administrative processing purposes, hence JCI Malaysia shall not use any of the member’s personal information for other purposes besides those stated in our Privacy Policy.

If members do not provide any of their identity information, then JCI Malaysia is unable to verify their age and nationality, hence JCI Malaysia would be unable to accept and process their membership application in the system.

Yes, it can be accepted. IC with a watermark stating for example, “for JCI Malaysia Use only” are acceptable. As long as the LO Admin can verify the details to confirm that it belongs to a genuine person. However, if the watermark blocks the important details of the IC causing the LO Admin to be unable to verify, the LO admin would have the right to reject the IC upload and request for a re-upload.
